“Challenges Are Growth Opportunities – Keep Rising!”
Are you feeling challenged by life? Are you combating too much (i.e. debt, doubt, disillusionment) in your life?
When I was younger, I lamented when confronted by challenging times; even now they’re not comfortable. As I became older, I learned to appreciate such challenges for the opportunity of strength they infused in me. That’s not to say while I was going through such challenges that I found myself skipping through the ‘happy fields’ of life. Quite the opposite, during such times I felt maligned, confused, and downtrodden. I was going through the morasses of life. Once I understood that challenging times will always come into my life, I learned to appreciate them for the inner growth they afforded me. That’s when I began to embrace them. I did so because in my mind I knew when such times occurred, it was time for me to grow again. It was time to move from the safe environment of mediocrity, even though it was fraught with angst, to a higher place in life.
Challenging times will be a part of your life as you grow in your life. They will make you feel uncomfortable. You can turn that into something that makes you unstoppable. Through your actions, you’ll decide to mentally die or grow. Choose growth!
What you’re experiencing may seem tough right now, but remember, tough times are only there to make you tougher. Even if times are not overly tough right now, prepare for them. If they’re not there, you may be too comfortable.
As you become tougher, stronger, and wiser, you’re also rising. As such, always, keep rising … and everything will be right with the world.
What does this have to do with negotiations?
In a negotiation, you have to be very mindful of your state of mind. To the degree you feel ‘less than’ and/or defeated, you’ll succumb to negotiation deals that are ‘less than’ what you could have otherwise achieved. As such, when negotiating, understand the challenges you’re confronted by, keep your mind and wits about you. Think that you can succeed … and everything will be right with the world.
Remember, you’re always negotiating!
