When you’re negotiating and you’re not sure what to do next, stop negotiating. Seek additional insights from reliable sources. Some may be friends, associates, etc., but just be mindful of whom it is that you seek such input from. Some people have their best interest in mind over yours. Thus, they may give you insights and advice that intentionally don’t really serve you.
Surround yourself with insightful, good intended people that are knowledgeable about negotiation strategies, and your negotiation efforts will be enhanced. Do the opposite and you’ll pay the price for such in the form of anxiety, angst, and wasted time.
