“You can improve your life!”
Sunday Message of Hope
October 4, 2015
Are you satisfied with your life, or do you wish to improve it? You might say yes, I’m satisfied and I wish to improve it (that’s a conversation for another time because it could expose a thought process that may or may not be serving you).
If you wish to improve your life, you can. All you have to do is focus, control, and direct your actions towards the improvements you wish to make. Improvement first starts in your mind with a plan. Then, you have to commit the plan to action. It’s really easy, but it takes discipline, which is what some people find to be hard. They start off full of vigor only to lose momentum shortly thereafter. In essence, what that says is the goal or dream was not strong enough to keep them engaged.
To make sure you pursue your goals and dreams with the level of commitment required to achieve them, identify the burning desire that will motivate you to keep up the pursuit, even when you feel like giving up. The desire really has to be something worth fighting for. After all, what you’re fighting for is a better you in the form of a better future.
Life and goal achievement can be simple. Don’t make it more difficult than it has to be. It’s not what you are, but what you’ll become that deserves more of your attention. To the degree you control who you become, you’ll control your future. You’ll be better for having focused on and committing to the new you … and everything will be right with the world.
Remember, you’re always negotiating!
